Welcome back to The Hunter Highway! Here is a quick post and some photos highlighting our trip to the Golden State. California is arguably one of the most desired vacation destinations in the U.S. with Yosemite highlighting its diverse landscapes while offering those seeking an outdoor excursion, the adventure of a lifetime. So when it came to planning a vacation for 2014, we knew exactly where we wanted to go. We agreed on spending half the week in Yosemite and the other half in the San Francisco.
Yosemite was Amazing! It was better than anything we could have expected. If we had known, we might have just booked our tent cabin for the whole week (pictured below and highly recommend looking into this if you are planning a trip here)! We really pushed ourselves to see and do the most we could while visiting. We were lucky enough to experience some of nature’s finest and purest offerings and the pictures do not do it justice!
While planning the visit to San Francisco we were given many recommendations and a list of activities from friends and family. Our itinerary included: visit Golden gate park, audio tour of Alcatraz, a hot fudge sundae from Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory, visit the sea lions at pier 39, and so much more. If you plan on visiting San Francisco do your research because there really is so much to see and do in this beautiful city. Feel free to leave comments and recommendations for our next visit to California!
